4 Bedroom Villa - Located off the main road in the quaint sea-side village of Pererenan, which still retains the feel of Bali from decades ago, is the luxury four-bedroom Dream River Villa. Set in its own private haven, sunken into the rolling expanses of rice fields, this moderate estate is designed in a modern Balinese open-plan style, and consists of one alang-alang roofed structure that houses the living areas, dining and bar areas, bedrooms, and kitchen. The main structure overlooks the grounds, which consists of the generous swimming pool and manicured lawns. This is all set amidst a backdrop of rising rice-fields, rich tropical foliage, and a small bubbling river. Only a few minute’s drive to the black sand surfing beach of Pererenan, and a leisurely twenty-five minute drive to the upscale restaurants, shopping areas, and nightlife of Seminyak, Dream River Villa is conveniently located to cater to your every mood.
Enter the property through the sliding wood gate down the grassy inclined parking area to a covered benkrai walkway flanked on either side by lily-laiden water gardens. Two-and-a-half-meter rock partitions edged with wood partially enclose the entry level of the villa. Walk straight, and enter the main living section, which is actually the second floor of the structure.
The main living area consists of the living room, main dining room, and kitchen. The entire space is completely open air, floored in benkrai wood and palimanan tiles, and is enclosed only by an open wooden railing, preserving the stunning views of the grounds and the rice-fields beyond. Protection from the elements is offered by bamboo krey blinds that can be pulled down or raised to suit the moment. Ideal for conversations and letting the serenity of the peaceful surroundings take hold of your spirit, the living room is set with several large couches and arm chairs, all around a Javanese teak-wood coffee table. An intricately carved canopy daybed off to the back is a great place for a nap or to recline to enjoy a good book. Write a postcard home at the elegant writing desk that sits off to the side.
Meditative Buddhas’ sit on a partition above the downward stairs, which serves as a centrepiece divider between the living room and the dining area and kitchen. A long wood dining table that comfortably seats twelve completes the space, with a couch covered in colourful pillows sitting to the side under watchful Indonesian statues. The fully-equipped kitchen, which boasts all modern appliances, is enclosed and sits off to the side.
Heading back towards the entrance of the villa is a palimanan-tiled open walkway leading to three of the four bedroom suites. All the bedrooms boast king-sized beds, mosquito nets, hard wood-flooring, air-conditioning, satellite TV’s, DVD/VCR/CD players, ensuite bathrooms, and robes. The house can accommodate additional guests with optional single beds, two of which can be added to each room if requested.
The first bedroom is situated with a king-sized canopy bed and an entertainment centre, complimented by understated décor including several small paintings. It is walled on one side by sliding glass doors which lead to a private wood balcony set with a breakfast table. The room is arranged with a tall rising ceiling to accommodate the open dark-wood stairway that leads up to the mezzanine, where a second bed is located. The ensuite bathroom is partially open-air, and has a separate terrazzo standing shower and steel bath basin. Blooming flowers, carved-out nooks housing illuminated Javanese statues, and the wood vanity offer an airs of Asian elegance.
The other two bedrooms in this area of the house are very similar, set with hard-wood floors, and both feature king-sized beds, entertainment systems, ensuite robes and open-air bathrooms with showers and tubs, and partially separated W.C. One of the rooms overlooks blooming water gardens, and the other has glass sliding doors that open up to a private wood deck with a breakfast table.
Descend from the living area by way one of the two staircases, one which leads directly to the gardens and swimming pool, and the other that leads to the lower level living areas. Off to the left from the bottom of the stairs is the master bedroom suite, located as to offer total privacy. Large glass windows can be opened up to allow the sunlight to pour in, and elegant drapes can be drawn to close off the space. A canopy bed sits under an antique door panel hanging on the wall that matches the carved freestanding cabinet, in which sits the entertainment system. Doorways are set to either side of this cabinet, one leading to the walk-in wardrobe, and the other leading into the ensuite indoor bathroom, with a standing shower, separate bathtub, and enclosed W.C.

Exit this bedroom and look out over the pool to the Javanese Jogglo, set with a relaxation bed that overlooks the river. The abstractly shaped pool is thirty meters around and nearly three meters deep at its deepest end. Balinese rock carvings stand poised around the waters. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are tactfully placed around the pool on the lawn.
To the right of the stairs is a generous wood deck featuring a small sitting area and a second casual picnic-style dining table to seat eight. From this space, you can sit on one of the bar stools at the wet bar and look out over the pool and the grounds. A guest toilet is located off to the side, for easy access from the pool.
For those desiring to use the Internet, this is available in the small modest office behind the security station in the parking area.
The contemporary Asian-style architecture of Dream River Villa is set in absolutely pristine setting to offer guests a luxurious retreat. It is a villa that encourages total relaxation alongside the natural peacefulness of the wind-blown rice fields and the quiet river flow.

Tending the garden and the grounds of the villa. They ensure that the facilities of the villa run smoothly during your visit.

• For bookings made 7 days or less before arrival, full final cash payment is required at the villa upon arrival.
• All payments are to be made in US dollars either via electronic bank transfer (account details will be given at time of booking) or by cash in US dollar bank notes at the villa. For electronic transfers, guests will be responsible for any bank charges incurred. - Cancellation Policy
• For bookings that are cancelled 31 days or more before arrival, deposits will be returned in full less a US$ 100 administrative fee.
• For bookings that are cancelled 30 days or less before arrival, deposits will be non-refundable.
• Notices of cancellation must be received in writing (by fax, email or mail).
• In cases where a guest has confirmed a booking with a deposit but we have yet to receive the balance of payment and the booking is cancelled, the guest will be responsible for the payment. - F&B
