17 countries follow “International Kite Festival”

There are 60 athletes from 17 countries has stated certainty to take part in the International Kite Festival at the tourism object Tanah Lot, Tabanan during there days August 11-13, 2006,” the head of the even organizer, I Made Sujana explained on Sunday.

He stated, each athlete present three motif of kite that is dimension creation kite, rokaku and combet kites. 17 countries that are Taiwan, Singapore, French, Thailand, China, Korea, Malaysia, Japan, England, Sweden, Philippine, America, German and Australia, will follow this event.

As well as the head of the kite association Philippine Oland T.D Ongkongko, the foreign and local tourists will watch the kite attraction that is unique and attractive.

Sujana added, this event is presented by the manager of the Tanah Lot that cooperate with Tabanan regent, which aiming to recover Bali tourism that was buried after bomb explosion on October 1, 2005 in Kuta.

Through the event is expected able to give the positive image of the Bali tourism and back the tourist trust to visiting Bali.
This competition is managed to win Rp 52 million and trophy. The international festival this is completed with the crafts exhibition, which made by the Tabanan member.
